Welcome Parents!
My name is Cathe Brickhill and I will be your child's 2nd grade teacher for the 2016-2017 school year. Let me extend a warm welcome to you and your child to Egypt Elementary for another exciting school year. For those of you who are new to our school community, I would like to extend a special welcome. This is my second year teaching at Egypt Elementary and I look forward to working with outstanding teachers and teach children from wonderful families.
A little about myself to share is that I have a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Scranton and a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Methodist College. I have been an elementary teacher for 19 years and it is a privilege to work with outstanding teachers and teach children from wonderful families. My family consists of my husband (Bill), three children (Stephen, David and Kate) and two dogs (Wilson and Hazel). When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy cooking, quilting and walking by participating in 5k’s!
I believe that all students are capable of becoming lifelong learners. Through the learning process parental involvement is very important to student achievement. Parents and teachers who have built strong relationships leads to student behavior can be well-managed and learning can take place. I look forward to building a partnership with parents and students this year as we all strive for success.
This school year, we will be chasing our Hopes and Dreams!
